Cooking with Class 2018

01
Jan
Jan 01 @ 06:00 pm - Nov 30 @ 08:00 pm | $25

Join us for “Cooking with Class” with Staci Joers this year, but this time we are doing it 9 times, once a month starting in March and ending in late November.

Due to the popularity of the class, and the limited seating, in 2018 we are providing you the option to reserve your seats for the whole year, at a reduced price. If you reserve a minimum of three classes, you’ll get it at 2017 prices. A single class is going up this year to $30, but again if you reserve your seat and pay now, your class price is only $25 per class.

Please call us at 262-632-9463 to reserve your seat! All classes will be from 6-8pm.

Here is what we have in store for you:

March 22nd – Fast & Fabulous Homemade Bread, Soup & Salad – The smell of fresh bread baking in the oven; nothing says comfort quite like it or fills the kitchen with such warmth. But, bread baking can be a tedious, time consuming affair that most of us don’t want to attempt.

April 26th – Panda Express Restaurant Knock-offs – Panda Express is the largest Asian segment restaurant chain in the United States. It is reasonably inexpensive and offers a fairly wide breadth of different dining options of the “American-style Chinese” sort. Through the years I have been asked many, many times to knock-off some of the chain’s most popular dishes and tonight that is exactly what I am going to do!

May 24th – Thai – In a matter of only 15 years, Asian food has gone from being a niche food obsession to one of the most popular cuisines around the world. A notch or two more exotic than Chinese or Japanese, Thai food offers clear, piercing tastes and unusual mixtures.

June 28th – Peach Perfect! Beaches and barbecues aren’t all you have to look forward to during the summer because nothing says summer like a juicy peach! Peaches are enormously versatile and deserve to be highlighted in awesome recipes. They range from sweet to savory and everything in between.

July 26th – Summer and Spice & Everything Nice! Summer is here and we are ready for the clean and natural flavors that are at their peak during this short season. I made it my goal to bring you some simply delicious food to enjoy on these warm days and nights.

August 23rd – Spanish Tapas for Summer Entertaining – A dining craze across the U.S. a few years ago, “tapas” are little dishes served before lunch and dinner in the bars and taverns of Spain. There are as many variations of tapas as there are cooks in Spain, or maybe more. What are they? They are small portions of food which are served as part of the social scene. Great for entertaining on gorgeous summer evenings, these beautiful, yet easy bites of food will have your guests begging for more. So open some wine and get ready to be the hit of summer.

September 27th – Italian Memories – There is no doubt that Italian food is one of the most popular cuisines across the world. Italian food represents an ideal way to eat. An ideal that is part of the wider “Mediterranean diet” often touted as having the right balance of a little meat, good fat in extra virgin olive oil and a lot of seafood, vegetables, grains and herbs, all washed down with wine.

October 18th – Taco Thursday! Today we are going to explore the taco and think outside “the Bell”. We’ll explore the history of the taco including how Mexican silver miners likely invented the taco, how Mexican Americans in the Southwest reinvented it, and how businessman Glen Bell mass-marketed it to Anglo palates via the crunchy Taco Bell shell. I’ll bring you some recipes for new and delicious tacos that are sure to please.

November 29th – Formal Holiday Menu – I’ve gathered some of my best recipes to make your meal as special as the holiday itself. Forget long hours in the kitchen with complicated recipes. Make this holiday dinner a no-fuss, unforgettable evening. Lots of do-ahead ideas and hints and tips to get you out of the kitchen and in with your guests.

More details will be included in each classes event page, soon to be published. Remember, call us at 262-632-9463 or stop by the store and make your reservation!
